2007 LS460L - Brake question
When replacing break pads to you always have to replace the electronic brake wear sensor? I was thinking if the old pads never wore down enough to trip the sensor then just disconnecting it from the old pads and reconnecting to the new would work.

You only need to replace it if it tripped and gave you a warning on the dash. If not, they are good to go. Ebay has them for like $12 or something like that though if you want to replace them while you are in there.

As already stated above, no need to replace them unless they've been "tripped" (worn to the metal inside the sensor). My BMW's have been the same. You can get them on Ebay or Rock Auto, and some pad replacement kits include them. When you replace the pads, you can just re-insert/clip them into the new pads.
