How to protect car's corners?
Somebody did this to my car today, so looking for your suggestions on some gear to protect it. Also any ideas on how much will it cost to fix it?
Thanks

From the looks there don't seem to be any dents. If you know a local body shop or own an orbital polisher I would buff it out first. There are bumper protectors on the market but not sure any of them will cover corners. The other option might be to get a clear mask like Xpel. Just Google it.

I agree with clear bra/wrapping the bumper. On the black portion, I don't think XPEL would work since it isn't a smooth surface, so maybe wrap it with gloss black vinyl. Might as well wrap the lower door trim and the wheel arches in gloss black vinyl to match too. Probably would cost you about $400-700.

In general, I am a fan of the clear bra. We did the entire front clip on our NX, but it doesn't cover any of the black parts. Anyway, I believe this would have been too much of an impact for the clear bra to have helped. We had some idiot in a parking structure nail the fender with his car door and it hit so hard it sliced through the bra. My guess is that this would have shredded the bra and perhaps reduced the damage underneath, but I don't think it would have stopped it.

It's too bad you got scraped and I feel the pain.
Problem with the clear bra is it won't stick to the coarse-textured unpainted black plastic of the lower bumper. I don't think there's a real solution to this besides taking as many precautions as possible such as parking away from major traffic areas for instance.
As for cost, best-case scenario is a professional buffing and touch-up paint (~ $100) but from the damage it looks like you will still have some minor scratch marks at least on the black unpainted portion. This option therefore will not result in a 100% repair.
The next and final option which will give you the 100% repair is to putty/sand down and professionally repaint the affected painted area, and replace the lower black section (part 10 in pic below). With this part (it's $150 in Canada) , paint and labor, this option should be around the $400-500 range.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Yes, I park my vehicles noticeably away from all when I can, but I know not everyone or every situation provides that option. It is sad that somebody would do this and then not take responsibility for it.
