Black-out Tail lights/Headlights
I realized had a can of VHT Night-Shade tint spray that I had bought for another project a while back. It was designed for blacking out the lenses on cars, but I didn't buy it for that purpose.
Has anyone done this with their SC430? Is it safe?
Wondering how easy it would be to remove if I try it and don't like it.

I've got my tail lights sprayed with VHT and I think it's looks so awesome, especially since I'm going for that black on black on black look (Batman style with 5% limo tint). I first had them wrapped with black vinyl from RF Tints on Ebay, as I was afraid of getting pulled over and ticketed. I will say that it is ILLEGAL to black out tail lights in most (if not all) states, but it is also up to the officers discretion. I take a chance, but also drive very careful as not to give them a reason to pull me over and tack on the tint, headlight, aftermarket leds, etc. I upgraded to the tint once I got a spare set of taillight assemblies just in case I ever do get pulled over. If you spray it's really hard to remove. Basically would have to use paint thinner and sanding to get it back to clear. If you wrap with vinyl, really easy to remove as it's usually just an adhesive vinyl.

My brother and I were debating about the black-on-black thing yesterday. I like chrome, he hates it. He was telling me that he would have gotten rid of all the chrome on the car including the LEXUS badges in the back.
And here I am planning to put chrome trim around the rear wheel wells, a chrome trim on the tail lights, chrome covers for the door handles, and looking at options for a chrome fuel door cover.
Next year I am thinking about getting the car painted black. But my fiancee loves the purple. I got the, "Well, it's your car..." look when I mentioned it. Translation: "If you do it, you won't hear the end of it." Haha

It does make it putout a lot less light. I saw one on the interstate about a month ago. It looked like he didn't have his lights on. The tail lights were so dark., but even when not done that dark it makes it a lot harder to see you. When it's raining, snowing, or foggy it's already harder to see tail lights without the tint. For me the safety of me and my family come first.
