Tips on doing front brake pads?
Hi All,
I replaced my rear brake pads this weekend with OEM pads and they work great. The hardest parts of the job were:
I'll probably also take off the rotors using the 8mm screw holes to clean..
Anything else to know about or avoid?
Thank you!!

- Getting the two big bolts off the get the caliper. I had to use a breaking bar.
- Compressing the brake piston. I used the wrong tool at first, then bought a 6" C-Clamp that worked great.
- The retainer pins were also a big pain, but I eventually figured it out.

There's one thing I would like to do especially when replacing rotors, is to paint the rotors so that it will not rust out.
In the future rotors will be rust free, might take a few more years but there are coatings that can be used to prevent rust. They do exist on upscale cars but will find their way to high volume cars soon.
