Molded plastic seat backing
The driver's seat in my SC has a loose molded seat backing. This is the piece with the pouch that's on the back of my seat. It's connected at the top, but loose at the bottom. I couldn't see any obvious place where a fastener(s) was/were missing. Has anybody been into this part and know how it mounts?
Thanks!!
Roger

Hey,
Experienced the same thing.. didn't get chance yet to check but I found this post. Has a diagram attached, open that file... The top are hooks and bottom are suppose to have holes that take screws. I think the screw fell out for me.. not sure how tho

Thanks for the advice, guys. I did look at the thread, Bimmer, and the airbag cautions caught my attention. Tomorrow morning, I will pull the seat forward and see what contortions a senior citizen with serious reading glasses can get himself into. I know I won't be climbing into the back shelf.... I mean seat!

Armed with such good advice, I put on my headlamp and saw the screw holes sans screws. I found a screw that fit and got the task finished. Yes, it is a pain to have to stand on your head and manage to get your progressive lenses focused in the right place.

Seatback Tackled
This post and threads came in quite handy. My 02 passenger seat back kept separating from the seat. Thanks to the diagram supplied and comments regarding fixes, I found that the top tabs were fine, but the bottom screws (2) were MIA. Found screws that would work and performed headstand on back seat floor to see mounting tabs and install screws. It took many attempts, but success. Thought while I was at it I should check driver's seat back. Also missing both screws. Repeat process, now both are secure. I have the forum to thank for the info and diagram. Cheers...
