Default Broken Driver's Seat Bracket

This morning, while leaning back to get my wallet from my back pocket, I heard a crack and the front left side of the seat broke loose. Not the bottom part (the track bolted to the floor), but the part that is attached to the bottom to the seat. I raised the seat to find the bracket holding the seat (made of pot metal) cracked off. I've attached a photo that shows the bottom of the bracket.

Now that I know what the problem is, I need some advice on how to remove the seat and replace the bracket. Since everything now is wired to the SRS, I don't want to set off airbags or cause error codes. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks, Herb

UPDATE:

The cost to replace the seat sub-assembly is $1800. I found a welder who can replace the seat, but I have to remove it and take it to his shop.

I need guidance on how to safely disconnect the SRS sensors so that I don't set off the airbags or end up with an SRS error code.

I will disconnect the battery before starting. Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks,

Herb

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for an hour so the airbags can discharge.
