Default What the heck is this?

Please see the attached image. You will see a hard black plastic rod sticking out from the right hand side of the driver's seat mechanism. I won't move in or out. I really can't see what it does or what it is attached to at the other end. A similar rod is on the left hand side of the seat and appears to snap into the seat rail.
The seat mechanism is working fine, however. Please tell me I don't have to remove the entire seat to correct this!!!!

If the mechanism is damaged or out of place then yes you'll have to remove the seat and have a look.

It's sticking out of mine too. Looks like a guide rail liner.
