Weatther Stripping/Gasket Replacement Question
Has anyone replaced the rubber gaskets/weatherstripping that run the width of the car near top the windshield and the rear window? This is what seals the convertible top when closed.
Mine are looking worn out and wanted to replace them.
Hoping it's a simple R&R.

The parts list clearly show the gaskets that I was referring to.
However, seems as though the original poster, like me, was wondering about the install of the gasket and no one chimed back in about that.

It's not difficult, just tedious with a substantial number of clips and screws that must be removed from the interior garnish pieces. BUT while you have the roof "up" to work on it, you must be careful to NOT alter/tweak the roof alignment while you're working on it. Then adding new butyl to the new weather strip to seal it properly.
Unless they (the weather seals) are really bad, I'd try some A-303 first... http://www.303products.com/shop303/i...r-vehicles.cfm to see if you can revive them.

Nothing is leaking but the rubber is looking a little ratty so was thinking it'd be nice to change it out.
But maybe it's better to just treat with a good shot of 303 and leave things be.
