Would you happen to know the specific model number for the Cosco unit that is in the SC? I was at walmart, target and babiesrus, and the smallest booster seat across all places was the Graco Turbo Booster. I would certainly prefer the latched version of a booster seat, as long as it fits comfortably in the SC. Any pictures would also be appreciated. TIA.

The Model that I'm using is 22-209-WAL. From the last 3 letters, I think it from Walmart, I'm not sure, but my wife said so than it must be from Walmart.

The Latch on the top is a little tricky to attach to. You have to remove the plastic on the back of the headrest to get to the latch; and the hook from the booster seat is a little too big, so you have to try to find the correct angle otherwise, it doesn't go in. when done you can attach the plastic back, but it will band a little bit.

I forgot to bring the camera today, too busy with many other things in my mind during this time. If you want to see pictures you have to wait for a while because I will be on vacation starting tomorrow until 1/3/06.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

peaceful97 - Enjoy your time off. I can wait for the pictures.

I spoke with a rep from Cosco about the lack of latches on the booster seats in general, and she indicated that in the event of a collision/fast brake - the child and the booster move forward together (using the standard seat belt), and on the way back to the seat - the booster is the one that will take most of the impact of hitting the seat.

A latched version on the other hand would result in only the child moving forward and back onto the booster (given that the child is using the standard seat belt and not the 5 point harness) and experiencing the brunt of the impact. Hope this makes sense.

BlackLXSC, Sorry for the late response. Here are the pictures. My son is now 16 month old so I only use the 5 point harness.

As you can see the back of the headrest doesn't look that nice with the latch attack to it.

Default Baby Seat in SC430

What would you suggest as the best way to load heavy infant?

Take the top down to load. Save your back. I am happy to have my 4 year old climb in there on his own.

I had my 3 & 5 years old in the back and wife in the passenger. The back had a booster and baby (not infant) seat. Yes, the front seats are almost all the way up...and the roof down is the way to load them. Especially helping the 3 yeas old with her seat belts.
