Changing Bulb Color in Stock Radio Headunit
Hi can someone tell me the bulb size I will need and where to get them please.
It looks like there are 13 of them correct? Are there any tricks besides soldering them in?
Also is there a way to check to see if bulbs that I have work out without installing them? Also is there a way to check the polarity of the LEDs?
I have burned a few up using a 9 volt battery I believe and I always install LEDs backwards! at least 50 % of the time I guess
Also if anyone has a stock bulb that is from their climate control board I could really use it!
Thank you

Sorry, I'm not running the factory radio.
The lead that goes to the bigger part (cathode) inside the LED is the negative side. Uncut, unmodified LED's will have a long lead and a short lead. The long lead is the anode (positive).
Are you asking about bulbs or LED's for testing? Maybe try a AA battery or two instead of a 9v?
Still working on the install of my Pioneer AVIC-F90BT - and repairing the body damage from the accident - so no flaming on the installation or cleanliness!

okay I know that the longer lead on LEDs is the positive side now, is that the same way for stock bulbs too out of the radio and climate control?
I will try to use 2 AA batteries to test the bulbs without burning them up.
Im testing led bulbs and stock bulbs from the radio and climate control
Anyone know about what bulbs I need for the stock radio?
I dont think I can change the color of the lcd from green to something else can I?

if I wanted to take apart my interior and open it and see what bulb then put it all back together, then take it apart again to install the bulbs when they arrive Id have done that already
