Ok i think i have a plan..let me know your opinions. Im getting 97 sc400 for a steal.-$1200. The only problem i see is that it is a pita to do any kind of boosting.. the later 1uzfe's have weak rods iirc. i was thinking of doing a 1j swap, then it dawned on me...why not just use what i already have..a 2jzge. pull it, rebuild it (seals,tt headgasket etc) slap a driftmotion kit on it and put it in the 400. i already have the 300 i can steal parts from like the driveshaft, motormounts etc.. so what do you think CL? to me this is the cheapest option and i will be keeping the soul of my old car..

Thanks. This was the first wreck ive been in. i was making a left turn and the guy slammed into the back of me. The car did a 180. everything was in slow motion. when i got out to look at my car my heart sank but now it is kind of worth it.

I need opinions...i have at my disposal either
#1. 95 bumper and fogs.
~pros- im pretty sure the fogs will plug up to the 97 plugs. less sanding in order to repaint it.

~cons- i think the black middle peice looks like crap..also the fog lenses have a small crack..i can probably seal this up..the black peice is the major turn off for me i think it looks like crap..i can take it iff and put that metal mesh grill stuff in place of it idk..

#2 92 sc400 bumper

~pros- i like the style..thats about it..i have turn indicators(fogs) for them but idk if it would be real hard to do a fog light conversion for them or if they wpuld hook up to the 97 plugs.

~cons- really just not knowing about the fog conversion..the style is cool i think

I saw that SC400 in the Raleigh Craigslist. The blue wheels he had on it were a little bright. Thought about looking into it myself......glad you got it!

Going to restore it?

My thoughts exactly. I would just move on to another project. Maybe part it out, but then the hassle of shipping and answering all the emails and PM's. Believe me I know.
