Default Rain leaking into my car, the leak is in a very odd place..

So I did my research on here and google, from checking the sunroof drains it was the front right tube that caused my passenger carpet and mat to be soaked. However the leak is near the A Pillar from one of the holes, the water seems to seep out. The odd thing is I noticed the a pillar has some kind of patch and has a bit of rust which I'm not sure if its supposed to look all patched up like that. (Picture 1 / 2 are sideways sorry) Any help on how to stop this leak at the spot is appreciated!

Looks to me like the car was wrecked and that spot was repaired. I would guess the drain tube got damaged somewhere near there, but I'm not sure how you would go about replacing that. I would probably block that drain and hope that the other three drains pick up the slack.

man I was afraid that would be the case, it is salvaged but the PO said it was all cosmetic. Oh well I did block the drain and tested it with water seems to work fine

If we all had a dollar for every dishonest thing a car seller has told us...

Looks like that pillar has been cut, you might want to contact an attorney especially if you have that claim of cosmetic damage only in writing. Also considering the fact that it's not even welded properly you might seriously consider looking for other welds, you might have a sectioned car(aka the old two cars welded together). If you do have a car assembled from two that is highly illegal to sell in CA and you will have options on dealing with it, however you will lose the ability to drive it on the road as soon as you report it to the DMV so plan accordingly. Check it though, if it is a full cut and weld or even a replaced roof that **** will kill you in a wreck so please don't ignore.

Definitely looks like a bad weld repair job to me. I'd check the A-Pillar on the other side to see if you find something similar as well as the C-Pillars.

Not to dump on you but this made me laugh out loud as I've yet to see a car salvaged due to "cosmetic" damage. Seems 99% of cars have a salvage title for cosmetic reasons if you listen to the seller! I'm sure most of us have bought something similar at one time or another. I know I have... Anyway, not sure if you have any legal re-course but glad to hear that you may have fixed the problem for now.

Definitely looks damaged. They attempted to cover it up. Possibly filling it with silicone would help
