Hey guys, I have a 94 SC300 and want to put the 97+ chrome looking tails in my SC. I currently have the 95-96 tail lights with the 95-96 pig tail harnesses. If I buy a pair of 97+ tails and put them on, will the existing 95-96 harness work or will I need the 97+ harness instead? How much are the bulbs different in size from 95-96 tails to 97+ tails? Thanks in advance.

What i know when i swapped my 97 tails to my 95-96 ones they plugged right in.

The older ones have more bulbs and are the same as the 97 bulbs no difference.

So the harness that I currently use for my 95-96 tails will fit perfectly with the same amount of bulbs for the 97+ tails?

no the 97 has less bulbs just cut and splice the 97s bulb plugs into the 95s easy to do no hyper blink you will have an extra set of wires

you will need the 97 harness

I have a 97 harness I may be looking to get rid of, but I was hoping to do a package deal with my old 97 tails.

95-96 harness won't work. They have 7 bulbs I believe and the 97+ have 5. On top of that, 97+ uses a 7443 (might be 7440, I forget) light bulb as well as the tail lights are 2825 (I think). 95's are different in both so that means the mounting sockets are different. The three sectional puzzle is what I'm talking about when you install the socket.
