remove the intake manifold on a sc300
Hey everyone
I am trying to change my spark plugs on my 93 sc300 and I am having a hard time removing the intake manifold. Is there anyone out there who can assist or help me find my way to the light? Or will it better just to get a manual? I find it is better to make a thread because some other person other than myself find useful information and HOW TO KNOWLEDGE.....

Thanks TL driver for your reply. I have removed the covers and the mass air flow. Removed the srews from the left side of the manifold. Do I need to remove the right side as well?

Remove intake. Remove 6 bolts and 02 wire on left and then remove bracket. Unplug coolant hose and unhook throttle cable. Slide out throttle body and your set. When you put it back together make sure the coolant hose is all the way back in and tight or you'll have another headache.

Search this forum with key words such as spark plug and you will get thread like these.

It is not required to removed the intake manifold entirely, but slide throttle body a few inches to have access there. Follow guides particularly on the second link and you'll be glad you did.
Good luck!

uras300 u r right. I was able to slide the TB over just little to access the plugs But I came across another problem or is it normal? I found coolant in the spark plug chamber. My car started acting funny Friday afternoon. It was spitting.

ha i had water in the plug hole before. from trying to clean the engine bay. heres a tip to get the water/or coolant out. small shop vac with the smallest head adapter you can find and then tape a stiff drinking straw into the vac adapter. ghetto!! but it worked. sucked out all the water and was able to pull the plugs without the water getting into the cylinder. also i used carb cleaner in the plug channel to dry it all out.
