Tip for those with Bucket Seats
I did this a while ago for my car but I never posted up.
**Hopefully it will help some people out**
So I picked up a set of Recaros for my SC but I didn't want to run racing harnesses.
Problem: When mounted to the seat brackets, the stock seat belt buckles are too high and so the seat belt sits too high so that it is uncomfortable. Also they sit too close to the seat so I can't recline them forward.
So I searched high and low on eBay for buckles from another car that would work out better. Of course it ended up being from another Toyota: a '92 Paseo to be exact. The actual buckle part is the exact same being they are both Toyotas.
These buckles are near perfect, they have an L-shaped bracket so they bend away from the seat (thus the seat will clear it), and it sits roughly 1" lower so the seat belt comes down at a better angle.
Only thing was I couldn't find a black pair (only found one), so I bought a gray pair and SEMed then clear coated them. They don't flake at all.
Here are some comparison pics:
(brown is OEM, gray is Paseo)

Very nice Hil. I wonder also if theres a bracket or way to make the bucket seats sit close to stock seat height so we dont need to worry about how low it is =/. Only reason stopping me from putting in my sparcos.

Guess you could but the metal is longer on the OEM buckle, and pretty strong. Swapping em costs a bit more than a DIY but I think they're well worth it.
I guess you could run spacers, I've heard of people using those but they look a tad on the unsafe to me. My seats sit pretty damn low so I understand your problem
