Either way the labor will be epic, atleast 1k if not more.

Realistically this is a huge waste of money. If your car is low milage just go na-t and remove the turbo everytime you smog it.

I do realize that it would prolly be cheaper to but the 98+ sc and do the conversion but my car is in excellent condition and I like the pre 97 look better.

I do not want to go na-t for the main reason that I don't trust the reliability. It's also too much of a hassle to take it off every time u need smog. A good turbo kit goes for like 5K+Labor so I don't think it would be that much cheaper...

subscribed, I was actually thinking of doing this as well.

My only reasoning for not just getting a 400 and converting is, i've already got a black interior 5spd with a fresh paint job and a bunch of other stuff.

keep us posted if you actually go through with this.. If i don't sell or trade my car, i'll be starting on this come tax return i hope..

any updates on how this is going? not much info out there on 1UZs going into sc300s granted that sc400s are available but its a good option for those who already have their car and already have alot of work done in other areas.

Check out 1uz supra swaps for more info. Should be similar enough. If they can do it no reason why we can't - And it should be even easier!

its all practically plug and play if you get everything. probably a few little things. and coming from a guy who owns a 1uz mk3.... if that car is easy to do a swap in.... oem stuff would be cake.
