Default is300 wheels w/ 215/40/17 ???

I was curious if this tire size was too small for the sc300 since I have 225/60/16 tires... would these tires looks ricer-esque on a sc300? I am looking at buying wheel spacers but my main question was if a "40" sidewall would look like "rubber bands on a wheel" ... i want to keep a stock look.

the tires and rims are being sold for $250... this is why I am asking

What kind of tire is it? Performance? All season?

It also depends on how you drive. Personally, I wouldn't feel to safe with tiny tire on such a heavy car.

Maybe step it up to IS350/250 wheels or Evo X wheels

215, even 225 give the SC a really small footprint. I have mounted both sizes on an IS. 215/40 would be kind of rubber bandish on the SC. If you do want to lose the ride quality I would go with the factory size on the IS wheel.

225/40 is gonna leave a large gap.

I have 275/40 on my rears and its a fair gap.

PS....Jaydogg might hammer you for stealing his avatar

**edit** sorry.....wasnt thinking 40% of 275 is alot lower that 40% of 225.
Not sure.

Just rechecked.........I have 225/40/18 on the front. Pretty good gap
60's will look lame.

it appears I will be going with 225/55/17 all-season... whats your opinion for that size on a 17?
