RX350 2013 ABS Brake Malfunction
#16
I did not post the follow up on my ABS problem, but I got the email this morning on the new post so I will update. The dealership did say that the prpblem / codes had to be forwarded to Lexus corporate before it could be repaired. It was the ABS Actuator and they did replace it and have not had any problem since. You need to get it in as soon as possible. Here's a pic of my warning lights.

You mentioned there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on this issue. I had not thought about checking for TSBs lately - but on my last car (a Maxima) I would do this periodically to see if there was anything going on that I needed to be on the lookout for.
Even if your not aware of a problem, following the TSBs is helpful. For example there could be a TSB on fixing a rattle, that you have which you may not be too concerned with - then you see the TSB and bring the car to teh dealer to get it fixed (BTW - a TSB issued does not mean the reapir is free if you are out of your warranty period. It just means a problem/fix has been identified that is common to the model).
With all that said, I'm going to look for TSBs now on the RX. For example - I just found this one:
Bulletin Number: LSB-0019-13 Bulletin Date: 04-12-2013 Component:
171100 latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch Summary
Lexus: while driving, some vehicles would display an intermittent warning message, triggered by courtesy switch in back door lock when door is changed to open position, with hatch in closed position. models 2012-2013 rx350, rx450h.

This was the same issue, with the same warning lights I was having, there are a lot of warning lights coming on at once. I could also clear the condition by turning the car off and back on. The brakes still worked, but I imagine the ABS function was not working, when the ABS malfunction light was on. If the dealer replaces the ABS actuator, which includes the computer module for the ABS system, it should resolve the issue. It took my dealer some time to figure this out since the car's computer was not recording the event. So they kept my car for several days, with their own computer connected to it, and luckily they had the event occur so they could record what was causing it. SInce this was replaced 11 months ago I have not had a single issue. Initially the dealer thought maybe I had the car skid, since it happened when raining and you get the "skid" alarm light in addition to all the other lights/warnings. Then I had the event in dry weather. So the dealer said they would keep the car until they resolved the issue and gave me a free loaner (same style RX).

I have the same problem in my 2013 RX350
I am wandering how is your car running now after they had fixed the brake actuator malfunction. I am having the same issue right now and my car is being seen by lexus dealer and the mechanic told me there is something wro ng with the actuator...and it needs to be replaced..thanks God it happened while its still in warranty. And the lexus dealer here in Magnussen Fremont California is one of the best dealership around. Although i am not quite happy with what is going on with this new Lexus RX350 after it gave me this trouble, but i am relying on there expertise here to fix the problem...they also gave me a loaner until it will get fixed...
