Default Unlock "dealer only" personalized hidden settings.

I understand on the 2010 RX the "dealer only" personalized settings can be set via the NAV system if you know the "code", or procedure to get into this hidden system. I know on my 05 RX a hand-held instrument was needed, but I guess this is no longer true. I know most of the personalized can be "owner" changed, but I'm talking about the ones marked "dealer only".

Does anyone know the procedure for getting into these "hidden" settings on the 2010 RX ?

What "dealer only" settings?

All of the things that used to be LPS and done at the dealer can now be done by anyone.

For example, to set up to use the remote to roll down and open windows is called "dealer only" option... could we do this setup by ourselves?

Thanks.

Thanks rxets.

Here is the complete list of personalized settings for the 2010 RX w/NAV: http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/RX_with_nav.pdf

The question is does anyone know how to get into the "dealer only" settings to change them?

They are the ones listed on the last page, and on rxets page above.

Thanks

I guess 4482 may think of the back-door thing. Any program-able system seems to have the "hole" for "experts" to sneak in...

Usually users from car forums would know better or earlier...

The day I picked my car on 4/22 and again at the 30 day check I was told by the Lexus service manager they no longer used an instrument to change the "dealer only" settings. He said it was done via the NAV screen system.

It is not what I think, as I thought they still used the hand held instrument. I was told the Lexus dealer now does it via the NAV screen. So it's not a back door thing or hole. If I were an "expert" I would not be mentioning it on this forum. As a matter of fact I have no intention of changing any of the "dealer only" settings...or I would have had the Lexus dealer do it long ago for me. I've already made all the "owner abled" personalized settings to suit me.

I'm on this forum to learn all I can about my new 2010 Lexus by asking questions, giving information, and reading good information put out by others.

My fault.

But, if anyone has this info, it'll be great. I'd like to learn, too. Thanks.

What I like to know is how to disable the damn seatbelt buzzer! Is that considered a dealer only setting?

You know it does go off after a couple minutes of sounding?

And there has to be a way to change the settings on non-nav equiped RX's.

I agree with you 100%. My son-in-law had the mike gain adjusted on his non-nav 2008 Toyota Highlander by the dealer, under the warranty.

It's on the steering wheel, on the right hand side. The little toggle switch. It's not as comprehensive as nav cars, but has several options.
