From what we've seen so far, yes it would look to be an early RX330 mockup.
How did you track that patent and image down?
Speaking of early prototypes, remember these pics and the comments around them?
These pics were pretty close to the mark after all.
Some details like the rear lights have been changed but it is close.

I know this SUV. It was shown at the Tokio Motor Show in 1998. I remember that because I liked it a lot. It was the same year when the facelifted (new) Mazda MX-5 was presented. Toyota also showed the then new Progrès.
