Please help with first Lexus

If there was an official 2004 check list for personalized settings like there was for the 2005 and newer I never saw one. I have an early 2004. If one was produced for the US it may have become available after my purchase. I cannot even find one online for the 2004. Nothing was mentioned at the post-purchase dealer event held for new owners, however, at 1K miles I did go back in after reading the manual and had some of the settings changed or confirmed via my salesperson namely for security purposes.
As stated in the last paragraph of my previous post there are settings that are discussed in the Owner's Manual. Each mentions about having to go to the dealer for more information. I believe some of these at least are mentioned in your list. But, they never say these are Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) as they did in future years. Believe they may have been referred to as CBEST previously though not in the Owner's Manual. Perhaps a previous RX300 owner might know. The term Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) does not seem to appear until the 2005 model year here.
So, I am uncomfortable referring to the settings for the 2004 as LPS as the OP was asking. I will only say there are settings discussed in the Owner's Manual for which you need to contact the dealer as it states -- and therefore what I said is not wrong. I am of the opinion that while the 2004 and 2005 RX330 are nearly identical, their personalization settings and profiles are two different animals with LPS being a much enhanced range of settings.
Of course, both yourself and the OP are from down under in AU. Makes me curious if there are differences in the owner materials provided to you there versus here in the US.

I will agree with the term "Lexus Personalised Settings" not being used for the 03 models. The term still applies to Lexus RX330's made in late 2004. What needs to be remembered here is that the RX models get released in Asia & Australia earlier than the cars in the states. The LPS settings were available on the 04 models but this would be dependent on when in 04 the car was made. I would say that LPS in the natural progression of the original personalised settings, pre the term LPS being coined to appeal to later model buyers.

Here are the C-Best settings for the 2004 RX330. I take it that these are time consuming to change and Lexus has a policy of not offering to re-change them for free. That said if you are a new owner and strike up a conversation with your service manager he might comp it.
