Dash Squeaking
I just bought a 2008 RX350 and when I run the air conditioner for awhile the dash starts to squeaking around the radio area. As soon as it warms back up it quits. Has anyone had this problem?

I would bet you have one of two things:
Th Blower Fan is making the squeeking noise
or
Your servo controlling the air flow to the vents, the air blend, etc. is making the noise as it adjusts.
Try adjusting the fan speed manually to see if it effects pitch or sound. If it does, its the fan making the noise.

Just a thought:
Possibly some plastic/metal in the dash is contracting (shrinking) due to the colder temperature and is coming into slight contact with other materials when being vibrated over rough roads. Once the plastic/metal materials are heated, they expand and tighten-up against each other, thus eliminating the squeaking sound.

Two thoughts:
Per Symbolic in San Diego, Rolls & Bentley use some sort of (recall silicone) spray between interior contact surfaces to lube squeaks (avoid spraying silicone spray directly on stitching, it's slippery and loosens threads);
Replace (charcoal impregnated) cabin filter behind glove box. Clogged filter overworks blower.
Hope this helps!

You might want to do a search using the key words "dash rattle". This topic has been extensively discussed here. Some of these postings refer to the dash rattle as creaking, rubbing noise, etc".

As soon as I read "dash squeak" I knew you were in the northeast!! It ONLY happens here. And that is from HQ. The RX dash is held in at the front and by every vent mount point by black plastic pins. Wait until it starts getting cold this winter. That squeak will drive you nuts!!
Call your local Lexus dealer in ohio. They will know about this instantly. There are several bulitins out for this. You might be able to get away with just removing the radio and applying felt at those points but more than likely, come cold weather it will get worse. To do it right, the dash comes out and those connection points get felted. everything goes back together and tada! no more squeak. I've done a TON of these. Good luck!
