Tire Inflation light
My tire inflation light came on yesterday. I pulled over and check my tires and they are fine. Turn the car off and turn it back on... lights was off and been driving til today and still off! Is there anything wrong with my tires? I was driving from Sacramento which was over 100 degree in temperture?

i had that problem once. The light came on blinking and then went off, then acme on a few days later. I left it alone but when i went in for a service a week later, they told me there was a small nail in the tire. I didnt even check the tires when the light came on, but yeh, so perhaps you should let a mechanic check the tires.

Here's a method to check if your TPWS needs re-setting or re-initializing (of course, if you take this in for service, they will do this for you under warranty):
After checking the tires, all pressures are the same and you do not have a leak, there are 2 ways to get the TPWS adjusted. 1. Re-Set 2. Re-Initialize. To re-set: Turn Ingnition to ON, if TPWS light is on, then push TPWS Button below steering until it turns off. To Re-initialize, meaning your TPWS is not lit, when on ON Ignition, push TPWS until it blinks 3x in 1 second intervals. It will not be re-initialized (means that it will dump all previous memory and will start memorizing again). The 04's use the RPM, etc., unlike the new ones which use the Direct Sensor method.

Also, do your steps to re-init and to reset work for the 2005 models?

If the reset/re-initialize do not work, then an "actuator" has to be replaced and better take it to the dealer, should be covered under warranty.

This is applicable to the 05's. The 06's started using the direct sensor method.
