Dumbest thing so far!
1999 RX...Ok im new to toyota. I was stunned and disappointed to see that they have 15 rivets sealing a plate inside the valve cover so I cant easily replace the spark plug well seals. I could understand if this was Ford etc... but " come on man "! ... .... ok im done venting... btw, I added an aftermarket trans cooler up front and did a drain n fill. You could see a red tint when the sun hit the fluid. But it shifts real smooth with 125K miles. I was pleased to see the motor is very clean inside. Dont feel like pulling the plentom just yet and the rear V/C dont seem to be leaking yet. My new A.M. headlights got here today and I will install my new HR2 bulbs in them tomorrow.

I removed it and just came off of the radiator cooler. I dont like altering the fluid flow too much by using multiple components. IMO, fluid moving too fast or too slow will affect heat transfer.

Which cooler did you use? I've been paranoid about transmission longevity, even though my wife's '02 AWD has only 106K on it.
When I told her, "it'll be the last car you own, choose wisely", I wasn't kidding.

Will happily agree on the multiple components comment. I actually took out my windshield wiper fluid reservoir to give the existing cooler more flow. We've had a few RX300 owners put in inline filters over the years.
