hey guys if anyone can help me w/ this i would SO appreciate it, ive been attempting to rewire an aftermarket JVC head unit into my RX, ive been working on it with my buddy for like a week now and i still can't find a wire that works for a power a ground and a control!

if you guys have any suggestions or some wiring diagrams of the wires behind the stock head unit that would help tremendously thanks in advance

Welcome to Club Lexus.

I wrote up an XM radio installation here about 1 1/2 years ago, which shows where to tap in for 12v and ground. I'm unsure what you mean by "control". I think you are going to be disappointed there, because I think the signalling you are looking for is digital.

If you do a search, you should find several head unit installations described. One in particular that comes to mind, places the HVAC controls in the center console drawer; to make room for the head unit on the dash.

The posting I was thinking about was "XM Satellite Radio Installation " on 9/19/08, but I see it doesn't give the wiring details, because other postings from that era already had.

Sorry. I seem to recall that the pinouts for power were the same as the standard Toyota pinouts, if that helps.

Hi, I can really use those diagrams too... I am about to install a powered sub and looking for that same control line.

This "control line" we reffer to is a line that turns amp on when radio is turned on and turns off when radio does.
