hey can someone direct me to the right place to find the colors of the wires of the head unit i have already cut the wires and i cant seem to find the power wire i dont know whats going on, well if anyone can help me find the wire colors it would be a great help thanks
hey guys welli wont be able to try the wiring till saturday but to the first reply i got a pionner head unit 6700 and i have used my multimete and i found a gray wire to have 12volts so i dont know i hope i can get a wiring diagram hopefully thanks alot guys for the help. am not sure if i told u guys this but its a 99 gs 300 sorry if i repeated this twice
plus i forgot to mention to you guys that b4 i took the old radio out the wires were disconnected and then i plugged it in and i didnt get no power, plus i look at the fuse under the hood and there was a radio no.1 fuse checked it and it was fine so i dont know whats going on, plus with the gray wire that i had mention that had 12volts i put the to the radio and and i ground it to the body but no power, and to check see if the radio is working i pluged it into another car that had a pioneer head unit and the new head unit that i want to hook up the lex was working fine, so am a little lost here its pretty weired and plus in the glove box i notice another connection and i belive that was suppose to be for the cd player that was suppose to be in there, but i just bought this car from a dealer so i guess they took it out, but anyways am hoping i could find a wiring diagram, too bad am not at STRAUSS to use them computer to get the wire diagram, oh and plus the dealer did mention to me the radio dont work.... well anyways hope i can get some help thanks guys.
there are a couple of fuses for the radio .. check them all..
Radio no 1 - 20 amp fuse - power amp - engine compartment near battery [long fuse box]
Radio no 2 - 15 amp fuse - cd changer/radio - left kicker panel fuse box
LexTPop is correct with the wiring..

hey guys whats up well i followed the color pathern lextop gave me i got power and everything on the head unit only problem is when i went to try to find the speaker wires all of a sudden head unit shut off, so i checked all the fuse them and everything and they were all good no blown fuse, so i then i decided to take my tester and test the 12volt battery wire (blue with yellow stripe) and i notice i am only getting 4.35volts so something is either eating up the voltage or there is high resistance somewhere right now am lost to that point so i dont know what is i going on, then i deicided to bypass that blue wire with yello stripe and i connected the head unit striaght to battery works fine but i dont know if the amp for the speakers comes on or not, but all i want to know is if the amp has its own power supply or does it need the radio to kick the power on for them amp, if so which wire what color is it, this way i cant try and figure out the color code for the speakers, and then i will try to find out why the 12v batt wire is not giving out the full 12volts, i did one more thing that was strange i tocued the blue wire with yellow stripe to the cable i ran straight from the positive side of the battery to see if the amp would kick on but i notice the green ring around the key hole came on and the lights under the driver side kickpanel came one so i wondering if those wires are shorting out with the blue wire with yellow stripe, if theres a fuse for that can u plz tell me what it is, and if anyone can tell me the colors for the speakers it would be great thanks.
