Cnanging fog bulbs
Can someone please tell me if there any speccial procedures to change the fog lights and how to do that. I want to change them to "xenon" bulbs but looks like the space over there is really tight...
Do I need to remove the headlight to thange the bulb?
Thanks.

For RX300, it is quite easy to do that. The bulbs are 9006, same as headlight.
For passenger side, you need to remove the washer fluid tub to gain some space to do that. For driver side, you need to remove the headlight cable to gain space to do that. You will see what I mean when you actually do that. Good luck.

you dont need to remove the headlight. i made that mistake and did that, only to realize that all i had to do was stick my hand behind the mechanism, find it, give it a turn, pull it out, then replacing it (being sure not to touch the bulb). its looks a whole lot better with the xenon bulbs, then those ugly, yellow stock ones. be sure to get 9006 bulbs.

Vegas,
Did you change your bulbs from the top? Also do you have the headlight washers?
I think if you have the headlite washers its more difficult! I have the weashers but have not really looked in there to do the swap out yet..

No luck... my hands are not big but it looks like impossible job to remove the bulb, I was able to twist it but I cannot remove it and I only tried on the drivers side...
Is there another way to do that, not from the top

I tried it myself too.....not easy if you have the headlight washers. Very tight space....
Is there a way to remove the front bottom black panel off?? The one right below where the headlight washer is.

Revise version for driver side:
Disconnect the headlight cable and bulb so you will have more space to work on. Then try and disconnect the fog light cable only. After the fog light cable is removed, you should have enough space to turn the fog light bulb and remove it. Good luck.

I want one that will match closely to my Xenons.
I bought NOKYA for my Acura and they are not bad...
Any ideas.

i had my 99 rx300 awd retrofitted with lexus ls460 projectors...most incredible headlights i have ever seen...by far the absolutely widest headlight there is. anyhow, both of my fog lights are dead, and instead of replacing them with halogen bulbs again, which seem to die every 5 months. i wanted to simply replace them with xenon bulbs. however, my car obviously came with the reflectors, so i retrofitted projectors. i dont want to spend the money or time to have my fog lights replaced. firstly, aren't the foglights projects anyways? i like my projector headlights because it has a perfect cutoff. if i replaced my fog lights bulbs with xenon bulbs, will it splash light everywhere or have a sharp cutoff?
