Are dealers willing to negotiate price?
I'm seriously looking to get my first Lexus, looking at the RX350. I'm wondering how open are dealerships willing to haggle. A coworker bought one a few years ago, and at that time he said the dealership refused to budge on the listed price. Claiming the RX350 is so popular that they don't negotiate the price. He ended up paying a bit over MSRP. Is this true?

The second to last is me! And from what it looks like, everybody was able to negotiate at least 5-6% off MRSP.

Based on what I have read here anything between 5%-14% below sticker has been done. It so depends on the dealer's inventory, time of season, willing to travel to another Lexus dealer and your negotiating skills. Show them you are serious but be willing to walk if you do not get your price. Leave your name and phone number and when they are willing to sell at your price tell them to give you a call.
In another note great choice on the Lexus. Consumer Reports and J D Power ranks Lexus #1 in reliability. Lexus has been #1 in the J D Power’s dependability study for five years in a row. In 2011 they were ranked #2, 2010 #4, 2009 #3, 2008 #1, and 2007 #2. Below is an article that shows Lexus/Toyota are the least expensive to maintain.

Bear in mind they are testing 3 year old models. Hence 3 years from now we may see much higher numbers due to various issues on their most popular model:

Porsche will overtake Lexus next year if the trend continues. Last time this happened was in 2010. (and with Lincoln beating Lexus in 2011).

When I traded in my ES a few days ago, I knew it's value to be around 31.5k or so (Carmax and KBB). The dealer wanted 31k. When I shot back with 33k (no one undervalues my baby!), they took my leys for almost an hour to really check it out, then said the best they could do was 32.75k. So I agreed and "settled" with them.

No, I don't play soccer!
Edit: Posts talking about negotiated prices have been moved to the 2017 pricing thread.

You can post it here about your negotiations and we can try to help you out.
There are definitely discounts available depending on the model and the price.
You should be easily able to get at lease $5k discount. Some of our members have gotten a lot more discount. Check out the prices paid thread. Email all the nearby dealers asking about their best price and go from there.
Good Luck,
Thank You.

New RX350 purchase
i just purchased 2017 RX350 this week in Atlanta. Dealer came off the MSRP of $50,544 by $5,500. No haggle, I just said that was the price I would pay and the discount was good for any RX350 on the lot at that price. They also gave me an additional $1500 because I currently own an IS350C with a pending air bag recall (this is a Lexus discount on a new car purchase).
