DCTEX,

The NEW RAV is not "TINY." I parked my '08 400h next to one and much to my amazement, they appeared almost identical in size from the rear.

I know the 3rd gen. RX is bigger than the 2nd, but not by all that much.

I'd be concerned with the interior quality as all that cost savings isn't coming from a size reduction - especially on a new chassis. There's a pretty noticeable difference between the RX and GX interior quality. Wonder how much more plastic you'll have throughout the NX.

It's a good point. Costs have to be justified between the models and thankfully reliability is never compromised throughout the lineup. Interior materials do reflect what you're buying. I had the CT and had the most hard plastics, albeit, high quality hard plastics. The IS is better but no GS or LS.

I expect the NX to be very close to the RX today, but slightly "decontented" in look and feel. We'll see in just three months at the Geneva autoshow when it's expected to be unveiled.
