They probably dropped prices in part due to this:

But they will hopefully fix it in the mid-year refresh:

I think it is more about these products just not moving off the lots. They have a premium price tag which makes many do a double-take even with the federal, and sometimes state, rebates.

The ev is based on the 12 with lots of upgrades.
The price tag is high, but Toyota loses money on them still. This is a compliance car, not for profit.
After discount, this is a loaded SUV for 32k. Go look at a ford escape loaded and see their prices, you will see they are within 5k, which u can make up in gas

thanks for the extensive review that you gave.
i got myself one, in Blizzard Pearl.
it's a lease too with unlimited miles.
i have to say, i'm loving it more than our 2013 RX 350 FWD.
Now i just need to figure our what home charger to install. Leviton is pricey. I was considering Clipper Creek.,
OR the more portable EVSE upgraded Panasonic charger ( from the Nissan Leaf)

Oh geez, same color as me. A$$!!! Just kidding. Congrats man, we love ours so far. The Leaf is like a piece of crap EV car compare to the Toyota. If you are in the market of a small SUV, this is the car to get in California if you are in the city. It just makes too much sense.
Too bad your dealer didnt sign you up for a free charger. I got one, but I can't install one at my place.

So every night, i throw a very long extension cord ( ala Rapunzel) and charge the EV.
My Dealer gave me a "bundled pricing" for a Leviton home station.
i called them but too many paperworks, permits etc ( 2-3 weeks processing/installation)
We might get the EVSE high powered fast charger. ( $1,027) 25amp on a 208/240v outlet.
are you still in CT? i hate to say it BUT i don't miss the snow. i went to school there. You know the Greatest Women's Basketball team
thanks again!

How do u charge it on the 110? That takes two days to charge, you must have a short commute. My wife does 25 miles a day. I tell her to charge at work on we'd and fri since we get to do it for free! We use Eco high on the climate control and drive it like my 450h. I can do 90 miles reliablely on 80% charge. My leaf can do 70 on 100% charge!

what kind of quality issues did you have with the RX450h? I always had the impression that the RXs that are made in japan had better fitment and built than the ones made in north america..

I had a lot of rattles. The interior was starting to wear out quickly and the sunroof was noisy. I felt the difference after driving a 2013 loaner. Still the rx feels more solid and quieter than the rav4, but the rav 4 is way more practical for us. Also this car can spin tires while you are moving at 10mph! Crazy torque!
