Why Can't I just turn off the Ac/heater with one push?

Why can't I turn off the AC/heater with one push like other cars/lexus models? Why do I have to keep loweing the fan until the ac turns off? any help in this regard?

Press and hold the lower fan button for 3 seconds, that shuts it off.
