Is there any way to have the DRLs on at the same time the low beam HIDs are one? Basically, to have all the lights on at the same time (low beam, fogs, and DRLs).
It's just a shame to not have my LED DRLs on at night when my low beams and fogs are on!
Sorry to hijack your thread, but man why do you want to do that? Your HID is not bright enough? We have some activity helping elders at the hospital every month, and many are complaining and suffering from excessive lighting from vehicles at night. Big SUV alone is threat to them, not to mention the totally unnecessary fog lights. Some people with very sensitive eyes still drive old Toyota Corrolla without auto dimming mirrors. Sorry to reply in somewhat negative way, but I just wanted to share.
Legally you can only have 4 lights on at once, that's how it is in PA any way, so you won't be able to have your DRL's, fog's and headlights on at the same time.
1st of all DRL as the name implies it only works during the day once you turn on the main headlights it turns off not unless you do some rewiring like the Xmen said
However having them ON together with the HIDs will not cause additional excessive lighting since the HIDs or halogens for that matter are already bright enough and LEDs that are ON wont even be noticed from afar because it only produces minimal lighting. Having them ON with the HIDs are only for aesthetic reasons Try using your DRL at night on the parklight position on a dark area and you wont even recognize the person standing 10ft infront of you
