RX 330. When are you coming?
I'm here in San Diego, CA. Put my CC # deposit at Lexus Kearny Mesa on Aug 15, 2003 for RX 330, Silver/Gray with Prem plus package and Nav/Rearview camera. My salesman keeps telling me that no allocation yet, but hopefully I will get it before the end of SEP. How long did you guys wait?

I went through the same agony.
I put a deposit down and got on a waiting list for a 330 with navigation back in the 3rd week of May. It took 9 weeks before my dealer could even get a VIN number, proving that my deposit corresponded to an actual car. It took another 3 weeks for the car to actually arrive.
I'm not used to ordering anything, so the idea of having a deposit tied up for that long without any sort of status and proof of progress was really frustrating. I suspect that the dealer couldn't get an allocation until the car was on the boat or even in the port in the U.S. Seems strange that a large car manufacturer like Toyota can't pre-allocate units on the build plan. Pretty poor customer service for a $40K+ product if you ask me - Toyota needs to fix that.
Nonetheless, I'm glad I waited, as I'm very happy with the car.
Current state of things in the Chicago area: The April allocation plan called for 20% to have Nav / Heated Seats / Towing Package / 18" wheels, and another 10% also added the rear seat entertainment system. The other 70% was split among 3 flavors of the premium or premium plus packages - no nav, no RSES, and 17" wheels instead of 18". Laser cruise is not available on any "standard" builds in this region, and neither is the multi-panel moonroof option; both of those are special orders.
In reality, about 85-90% have come through without navigation, and ever since late August they've been all over the lots and you can probably deal. But, if you want nav in the Chicago area and you're picky about color, you're still waiting up to 12 weeks and only getting $1000 - $1500 off sticker price. You can get a car sooner if you get lucky and find one on the lot where someone cancelled their order. I've also seen cars sitting on the lot with nav and rear seat entertainment. RSES doesn't seem to be selling big here, although that may be due to the $46K+ total sticker price.
Frustrating as it is, keep waiting, because you'll love the car.

Glad I wasn't the only one. Anyway, thanx for the assurance. I called my salesman 3x today to check on the status and also I added the RES with heated seats for extra $3 grand. This is my first luxury car, might as well go all the way.
Well, I'll keep on waiting.

Maybe he's adding something else - like 18" tires, cargo mat & wheel locks?

Multiple calls to my salesman, still nothing. I went to Lexus Kearny Mesa today and found that there were 6 or 7 RX 330 that just arrived. I saw them in white, blue, brown, and black, but no silver
Anyway, he said that it'll be here a week from next week. He also told me that there is no silver/gray coming with RES, it will be two months from now if I wait.
Anybody know a good entertainment installer on a flip down monitor?
