My 60K Experience at Lexus...
I finally have a Lexus dealership within reasonable driving distance of my house (DCH Lexus of Santa Barbara). I made an appointment for the 60K service. The power train warranty is close to running out and I wanted the vehicle gone through by them. The technician found a leak in the water pump and a transmission leak at the pan gasket. They installed a new water pump and replaced the transmission gasket added new coolant and WS Transmission Fluid all at no charge. They also found power steering fluid leaking from the preload tensioner nut on the rack and pinion assembly. They replaced the defective part and replaced the P/S fluid. Lexus recommended and I approved to add BG44K fuel additive to the gas tank and perform a complete air intake system cleaning, injector cleaning using the BG Air Intake System Cleaner. I must say this BG stuff made a big difference in performance. The 60K service was routine, replace brake fluid, oil and filter, replace cabin and engine air cleaner, rotate tires, etc. Total Cost: $598. Overall a very good experience at DCH Lexus of Santa Barbara.
I had a loaded 2013 Lexus RX as a loaner. It's a great riding car with lots of hi-tech on board. It's a bigger car. I like my second generation better so, I need to keep my 2007 RX in great condition.

Smart move.I 'll do the same in five and a half years from now on my 2012 RX.
Hopefully my local dealer in South Jersey will be as honest and good in service as your Service Dept. is.
