Tail Lights Mod
I have seen these tail lights before and I like them but I feel the white spaces just don't look right.
Then I saw these on another modified RX and started to ponder the question, where you would get these tail lights from. Does anyone know if these are aftermarket ones, one-offs or is this a mod to the original lights? These lights really smooth out the car and fit in really nicely (although this particular car has additional mods to really emphasise it more).

It maybe the same headlights with maybe a slight modification.
You really can't compare the two because one is a professionally taken photo that probably had lighting adjustments or maybe a slight photoshop, while the other picture is just a regular picture.
I like the rims. Normally I don't like the rear spoiler painted but it matches the other mods of this car. It also looks as if was lowered.

The reason for showing the 2 pictures, is that 1 picture has the regular OEM LED lights and there's a clear section where the lights would shine out from. The other picture is of a car with the tail lights done in red all over. It looks smoother. Here's another picture

Draco thanks for posting additional pictures of the car. It's truly sweet.
I stand corrected on the tail lights. I also understood what you meant initially. I just thought due to angle and lighting there were a slight chance that it could be the same head light but at this angle and the 2nd picture has less editing, they are clearly 2 different lenses.
I agree I like the all red, my only concern would they be D.O.T. compliant and are they made as well as the O.E.M.? Show items are nice but can they stand up to the wear and tear of everyday driving, rain, snow, road grime and worst .... POTHOLES!!!
Although I'm suppose to be working towards finishing my car payments, I'm already looking to customizing it. lol.

It's most likely paint. The original ones are sold in Japan [the red housing and not chrome], and rare from my findings on here.
If you like all red, do this and call it a day...
*for the above, you'd need to let the red dry and then hit it with smoke, do a quick light wetsand, and then clear coat the whole light. A nice mod i must say without spending any real money and something you can say you DIY'd and one off'd in your laneway.
Probably the 2.4L 4banger as found in 90% of the Harrier's & Highlanders.

That first picture is my wife's RX. Honestly pics do them no justice, especially that pic. It does have a light smoke on them as well. These lights look 10x better than a stock set side by side in real life.
The other set looks only like a paint job on the stock lights. Looks good, but it's a paint job. They look a bit less "classy" IMO.

From factory On 2006's there is a small amount of smoke tint on the tail lights, On 2007s there is a light blue tint on them, the interior housing color are both black chrome. Most people just put on a smoke film and call it end of the day. I'm working on retrofitting HID bulb in reverse light. hehe
