What Were Factory-Installed Plugs and Heat Ratings for 2004 RX 330? Info Appreciated
Good evening! I tried doing a search for this but didn't find anything. This relates to another post I made but I thought I'd get more info this way.
Can someone (especially you Lexus folks) tell me what the factory-installed spark plugs were for a 2004 RX 330, and what their heat rating is? I'm wanting to make sure that my "2nd 125k plugs" are appropriate.
I really appreciate the information...thanks very much and have a great week!

Give your Lexus dealer parts dept a call. They will tell you exactly what is the recommended part to use. There are times when manufacturer recommends a change. It is up to you to purchase from the dealer parts or open market. The plugs are pre-gapped [dont try to bend them as they might break].

You need to use iridium plugs. Denso are what came with the car IIRC. Use an iridium plug by Denso or NGK.
As for the "heat rating", most any plug you place in the vehicle will operate well within the normal engine temperature. Unless you are converting your Lex to a Nascar or F1 vehicle, or if you plan on driving without coolant for a while, you have no need to be concerned with the heat rating. Buy an iridium plug and you will be fine.
Now changing the back 3 is not a fun process friend. Be prepared to take off the entire air intake and throttle body friend. As well as the cruze control module on the left side of the air intake. This allows you enough room to place your hands behind the engine and remove the coils and plugs one by one by using extensions and feeding them down the plug hole.

Hi Salim...think you might have missed rockhound's other post about the problem with the MPG and dealer replaced spark plugs...
Rockhound wants to know what came installed from the factory....

Better install specified plugs per manual. And yes they are Iridiums.

Denso Iridium SK20R11. Those are the stock plugs.
