Moving front seats back
I recently purchased a 2008 rx, and my husband is 6'3. He says the legroom is horrible and the seat wont go back any further. I used to drive a 2002 camry, and we always had adequate leg room, and the specs online show that the camry has less front leg room then the Lexus rx. It says the RX has 42.5 inches of leg room, so you would think it would be better than the camry. I measured mine and they only go back about 30 inches. Anyhow now how to fix this??? Thank you!!

I make do by pushing myself as far back in the seat as I can and I do get clear of the dash by an inch or so. But on long trips my knees do get a little sore from inevitably rubbing the dash from time to time. Funny thing is my last car was a 350z and its a small car comparatively to the RX but I had more room in it for my legs lol. I hope he finds a solution soon.

I'm 6'4 and I found that putting the seat all the way to the back and then playing around with the incline of the seat as well as the height has worked well for me. I routinely drive from Canada to Florida Keys without stopping, except for gas, and have not had any problems.

I'm 6' 2", and just barely fit. My right leg rubs against the center console a lot.
If you want to move back the seats, it would not be that hard to do. You would have to make brackets to modify the attach points. The lexus people will probably freak out if you ask them about it, for liability reasons. Remember, anything you make would have to be strong enough for a 300# guy in a 20G crash without breaking loose--some serious steel and very high strength bolts will be needed!
Also, there is the real possibility of the airbags going off when you remove the seat. Get a service manual and READ it!

In my other car, an aftermarket vendor made some replacement cushion for the leather seats to give needed inches when using helmets at the track. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do this but it might be something you look in to (maybe thin out the foam?).
Another option like mentioned above is extending the seat rails. See below.
