Default RX 330 Seats

It might just be me, but my new RX 330 seats hurt my butt after a couple of hours driving. It does not look like the seats have been changed from pervious years. No problems with either my 99 RX 300 or 2003 GX 470.

Any one else notice this? Maybe my butt is just too big?

My seat's feel fine. As a matter of fact, they feel better than my Tahoe.

I have to agree with rkytop_bob, the seats are very comfortable. This was a very big issue for me when considering the RX for purchase, as the seats in my previous car caused my tailbone to hurt after long drives (over 1 - 1 1/2 hours). We have just returned from a trip where we drove for 2 days, 6+ hours the first day and about 5 hours the second (each way), and although we were a bit stiff from sitting for long periods, the seats were extremely comfortable.

If I were granted a wish by the Lexus genie, I would ask for the same lumbar support adjustment for the passenger seat as the driver's seat has.

It must just be me. The car has a grand total of 850 miles and I think I am going to sell it this weekend.

Before you sell it, try adjusting the position. May have it tilted to far back and putting pressure on the butt. Also, if its too high, more weight is supported by the butt. Also check fore and aft position and change that because that can change angle of your legs on seat.

The seats are comfortable enough, however there is no side support (seats are almost as flat as a pancake), so you just slide left and right when making turns.

Lexus should have bolstered the side supports more or offerred sports seats.

Yesterday we went fo a longer drive in the RX and it is the flatness of the sea that is causing my dis like of the seats. This is hard to understand as my old RX (1999) and GX (2003) were both very good for long drives. Guess this one is designed for a female as the driver. Say problem is my wife will not even think about driving the RX.
