winning sound from blower motor on a rx 300
Hello club,
I have a 2001 rx 300 that has some issues. First started with the a/c control making a clicking sound by the cd box or glove box area.
2nd issue is I have the blower motor winning and it gets louder with the fan **** adjustment.
any Ideas. Are they both the same issue?

Whining sound could be the bearings going out in the blower motor. Sounds like it's time for replacement. Then if your A/C control is still making noise you'll know they were not related.

Hello and welcome to the club!
Clicking sound you hear is no doubt the infamous mixing valve that controls where the air comes out (floor or dash vents). I noticed mine clicks alot when I have the temp on full cold, but is dead quiet when it's set to full warm. Someday I'll disassemble it and clean it.........
