headlight problem on 02 rx300
my right low beam headlight is not working and instead the fog lamp and parking light turn on, on that side when the headligts are activated (it appears as though it is making up for lose of that bulb). i changed the 9006 bulb and the problem did not correct. i checked the two fuses (#3 and 19 in the manuel) that operate the headlight and they are fine. i am puzzled. please help.

Could you clarify a bit ...
Fogs come on when the fog-light switch is OFF on the side the of the non-fuctional low beam?
You have already replaced the low beam bulb (confirm with low beam bulb on the good side) and it still does not light up and fuse are OK.
If the obve sets of statments are correct I would look at the relay controlling the fog/headlamp.
Please keep in mind that DRL are highbeam fillament glowing at 1/2 intencity.

problem solved
my wife had turned off the fog lamps and so on one side i had a fog lamp on and on the other side the headlight was on. the problem was that the wiring was incorrect. since they are both the same bulbs they fill the sockets the same way. i was done by the previous owner and i have had the fogs lamps on all the time, so i never noticed the switch. so it is corrected and there was no bad bulb. i upgrade the lowbeams to silver star bulbs. it brighter and whiter light. thanks for the help.
