IS-F for the track, wheel/tire suggestions?
Who's done it. What makes most sense? Looking for some light auto-x, novice stuff for now. Need new rears anyway, stick with stock? Get a used set of rims and tires too?

Wide, cheap, light. Maybe even look at 18's, they will be lighter, have more rubber options and be cheaper. It's not a fashion show so I would go used if you can find the right wheels and probably go with the same size on all 4 corners (wheels and tires). Then look for some DOT approved R-comp tires.

He said track set up. The 285s on all four corners with 18" rims really seems to be just about the optimum set up for track work. I don't have it yet, but it's definitely what's next for my car.

I love the odea of 285 around but man I am concerned about the fit.
I know that SSCA is running or has ran this but amn that is some change from the standard on the front.
I can't seem to find any other post on this or other Lexus forums with this size tyre up front.
My main concern is 18 x 9.5 ET 45 with 285 all round is a fair coin outlay if they dont fit.
Tough call, when spending that amount I always tend to be more conservative but I might have to change my ways LOL
