Default Bug Splat Protection Help

Hello everybody, I am now about to complete my purchase of a leftover 2015 USB. I found her out of state and 718 miles away. I am planning to fly over and will just drive her back. My question is what is best way to protect the front end of the car from bug splats and small flying objects? I have heard of the 3M painters tape method and have seen pics online.
Aside from the 3M tape, are there any other solutions out there to address this? Please let me know.

AND ALSO, I AM EXCITED AND VERY GLAD TO BE BACK IN AN F AND WITH LEXUS.

if you want to spend the money a clear bra (xpel, 3m, etc) probably several hundred to several thousand depending on what you want to cover.

I've done the cross country drive in my 300c and my Camaro and used the 3m painters tape method, though you will have to extra with you and monitor it when you stop.

the bigger issue for me has been the windshield, in both cars I ended up with rock chips and windshield replacements after the drives.

to the rock chips and windshield replacement. I will look into the xpel and 3M avenues.

Thanks mjeds!

you probably won't have too much issue in your area.

my route takes me through AZ, NM, and TX, all desert states with sand and dirt. hence the rock chips.

I just replaced my windshield recently, looks like it was a hairline stress crack close to the top center. Thank goodness for free windshield replacements in FL.

No I have a FL policy, it covers windshield damage with $0 deductible, so I got it fixed while I'm up in PA. However the windshield did come all the way here from Japan though.

I drove from NY to MN and got not one chip. All the bugs will come off with a good pressure washer easily. You'll be fine

Dang man... I also cracked my windshield on the drive from FL to NC 3 weeks ago. I have a FL policy too so it was changed for free. My windshield didn't have to come from Japan though. But it is a Lexus windshield, I refused to let them give me an aftermarket equivalent. With my policy they said if I had over 10k miles then I had to pay the cost difference, but I had less than 10k miles.
