I recently bought the car passed smog & had no codes showing. Car has 211k miles looks to be in great shape. I had it inspected at dealership. They did general maintenance but I had noticed A lag periodically when I accelerate from a dead stop. The dealership could not duplicate the problem. Thought maybe it was my foots positioning on gas pedal.however, I noticed it seemed to be intermittent. When the smog technician finish the test & proceeded to back the vehicle off machine the car stalled. From then on the vehicle had to be driven with both peddles in order to keep it running 4 blocks back hm. check engine light still has not come on or any other warning lights on dash. I've been reading the forum trying to find a Fix or start point. Forum mentioned possible vacuum leak. I checked for vacuum leak with a can of starting fluid few days before I went to the smog but had no luck finding any leaks. Smog test day the car was running near perfect. I noticed driver side heated seat failed recently & battery is questionable. I noticed a rather strong arc when reconnecting the battery terminals too. significant enough that I disconnected the battery terminals right away or never fully connected them. Tride multiple times before a actually committed to doing it but only after disconnecting stereo amp upgrades and capacitor in the trunk. This is my first post and first forum i have been on or joined. Thank you for all your help, insight & ideas.

One tech mentioned checking the ECU for fault or short. Does that fit the problem (s) or good start?

also car alarm has intermittent problems one day locks cars doors & sets alarm then some days it locks and unlocks in a couple seconds after or locks all but one of the doors & then next day its working and so forth.
