I installed the intake a few months ago and totally forgot to address a small issue I had!

For the intake there are two hoses, one running to the tubing and one going direct to the filter. For the filter, I have a loose hose. The hose is smaller on one side where the filter is. (even the OEM one, which didn't reach to the new intake) What exactly is that hose for and does it have to be airtight? Will I cause damage driving it? Am I losing power?

Picture attached for reference, Ive actually been driving it frequently and pretty hard.

Red one is the one thats loose.

hey bro, its probably vaccum related (my guess) lol why dont you drill a hole into the heat shield and stick the black hoe through...something like this...

There already is a hole going towards the filter just the original hose wasn't long enough.

Would using a worm clamp with the hose I have right now work?

Did that i think 50% sure it's the vacuum just don't know what it's for and want to make sure on the forums

Hello sir, does the srt intake really offer any real benefits? What does it actually do and what are the positives and negatives, if you don't mind, thanks

On my GS400 it added quite a bit of power and torque- 30 ft-lbs at the wheels and gains were everywhere on the dyno (well, could not WOT until 3100-3200 rpm because the car would shift). The post-install dyno was on a 24 degree hotter day than the stock dyno too (Dynojet).
