I have an SRT intake for my 2001 GS3. It has a weird red hose that attaches to the top of the cone filter. I can't tell what the other end connects to. Is anyone familiar with this? I have some pictures I can post later, just not with me right now.
Anyway, my question is, I want to replace the filter with a new AEM dry flow. But the AEM doesn't have a place to connect the red hose. So....I'm wondering if I can just clamp the other end of the hose and get rid of it altogether....?
Any advice? I want to get the new filter put on ASAP...my SRT is so bad it's allowing dirt to get in and I'm getting very rough idles.
