Exhaust/ Midpipe question
Hi everyone,
I am planning on getting the F-Sport exhaust in the next month or so when I can find a good deal. Hopefully Sewell Lexus will run the summer promo again this year. With that being said, my co-workers neighbor has a full hydraulic lift in his garage and I am considering replacing the mid pipe on my IS350.
Has anyone used a Megan mid pipe with the F-Sport exhaust? I can't find any videos online. All the videos I see are Megan mid pipe with Tanabe or HKS exhausts.
How much louder does it sound with the Megan mid pipe installed? I don't want to be really loud but I want to have a nice aggressive sound.
Do I need to worry about any warranty issues adding a mid pipe or any O2 sensor issues?
Sorry about all the questions. I am really a novice at all of this but trying to learn.

A full catback exhaust (midpipe, axle back) sounds AMAZING in wot on the 2IS. At idle, incredibly quiet. Partial throttle (dpeending on the gear and rpms) will produce either some drone or fade out completely...mostly mellowing out.
Thats to say that you have a tanabe or f-sport styled exhaust. Those HKS cans are slighly buzzier I believe.
In any case, you'll love it at wot and wont have a problem under partial load.

i vote for JoeZ full exhaust... it is worth the price imho... if you take a look... your F-Sports are 1200 from sewell... Megan pipes are another 350 at least... 1550... for that you can get the JoeZ Race version and you save $51... those prices do not incl shipping but probably paying shipping for 2 items will be equivalent to the full exhaust...
the full exhaust also features better pipings and an X-Pipe... true dual... so yeah...

I may have to think about the full Joe-Z exhaust.
Do these ever go on sale or group buy? What is the difference between the race version or street? Difference between with or without cats? Sorry for the ingnorance.

they are not on a sale... the difference would be the sound... and the need to pass emissions... in CA you might want to use the Catted version to pass the emission test... i'm not sure about VA.. but if you have no emission test.. the catless version is the way to go....

The version with cats might fool a visual inspection by an inspector who doesn't actually understand the law very well though (which is probably a lot of them)
