Go to your local Lexus dealer with a copy of your registration and they'll cut you a key for about $40 bucks or so. Won't be that nice remote key you just broke but it'll get the job done.

what dealer are you referring to? I just pulled into one today and was told the only replacement key they could offer me was the one with the built in remote and it would be $500.

I've done some googling and have found a variety of 3rd parties offering keys.

I have a single master key that doesn't work on my trunk for some reason (does work on the glove box, so it's not a valet key).

I put a new battery into the master key and it doesn't actuate door locks or alarm.

I'm strongly considering pulling the trunk key tumblers, taking to a locksmith and getting some new keys made.

I'm also most likely going to go with an aftermarket alarm. For reference I've got a 92 SC400. I understand there could be some entanglements with the factory alarm system but don't know details.

I bought keys for 2 of my cars, they were about $80/each at the dealer.
