Default Trac Control Stuck On

I just picked up my baby, and after having it in the shop for two weeks, the trac control is stuck on. (Dunno if it did it before hand, the car was un-driveable when I got it).
I know its not the bulb burnt out, because when I spin the tires or slide on anythinf the trac light blinks on and off.

I haven't dove too deep into it, but what do you think it is? Bad switch?

I'm in training to be a mechanic and have a job sorta apprenticing as one, so I have a shop with Mitchell's i can use, just wanted to check here to see if this is a common problem.
Thanks.

Edit: It's a 92 SC400, all stock

Check your diagnostic codes. If you have a code 13 you will not be able to disengage the traction control. Don't ask me why but that's the way it works. Code 13 relates to the RPM signal and in this case you would be looking at the cam position sensors, ecu, skipping teeth on your timing belt, open or short in speed sensor circuit, or engine speed sensor that could be involved. Pull any codes stored and report back

Thanks, I'll do that when I'm back in the shop tomorrow.

Just to clarify, the TRAC OFF switch doesn't do anything. Pulling the relay(s) do turn it (and abs) off.

moved to performance and maintenance.

sounds like you just have a bad switch. normally the light is not on, and when you turn trac off it goes on, so it sounds like the switch isn't working. normally you have a problem if its always off, not always on.

That's more so what I was thinking. Sorry for wrong forum, still new here.
I haven't gotten it back on the rack, the shops been super busy and I haven't felt like staying late. I'm hoping next week I'll be able to tear into it, as I'll be taking apart some other interior things to mess with.

yeah check the wiring underneath. its entirely possible the last time someone was in there they didn't reconnect the connector. those sort of things happen all the time.

Hey Ali, I haven't been here in a while, but where is that connector exactly?

My Trac light came on a few months back, checked my brake fluid and it was dirty as anything. Hired a local guy to change the fluid, which he failed at doing and he didn't fix the issue. Then had another local shop change the fluid which looks good, but about a month later the trac light would come on and go out on it's own every so often. Now it's on permanently, and I'm not really sure what the issue is.
