very clean setup i like it!! i will have to go find one of those dist boxes as im sick of waiting for parts to come in. i guess ill pick up a circuit breaker aswelll....

Here is the circuit breaker and battery mount in the trunk. I cut a hole and welded a nut to attach my ground lead off the battery. I will be running an odyssey battery, the big one is just a mock up:

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but there is a possible safety issue.

I would be cautious using a circuit breaker on your main power line. When CB fail they can fail in the closed position, thus not cutting off the power. This is a known issue in the high end car audio market. Google it for details.

Also, when relocating the battery to the trunk, It is nice to fuse the wire near the battery, however you should also fuse it in the engine bay where you connect to the existing wires. This is not to protect the electronics, this is to protect the wire (and car) from burning up if you get a dead short.
