Default Nothing but hot air...

that's all she blows.

'93 SC400. no matter what temp i have the gauge set at, all i get is hot, hot air. even turning it off, slowly leaks out hot air.

I do know my A/C lines and fittings need replacement, but is that why all i get is hot hot air?

The heater valve is probably stuck open. It's under the hood, on the passenger side up against the firewall, has a single vacuum diaphram/ canister on it with two coolant hoses going to it. I would try replacing that first or at least check the vacuum line going to it.

They're known to go bad. And don't even think about buying new/reman unless you want to spend $300-$500. You can source them easily from member part outs or local junkyards, roughly $40 to $100, depending on from who.

ok, so I replaced the Heater control and the thermostat. I can now turn off the heat, but when it is on, it's always hot. i can't get just a simple vent breeze going. not sure what the deal is here.
